URBOND Child Education Volunteers embarked on an inspiring trip to Guinea to promote education and empower young people, especially girls, to stay in school and build brighter futures. The mission focused on creating awareness around the importance of education as a tool for transformation and opportunity.
As part of the visit, URBOND celebrated International Girls Day, uniting with local communities to encourage girls to pursue their dreams through education. The event drew participants from across the region, including supporters from Conakry, all standing together to champion girls’ and children’s right to learn and thrive.
The volunteers also led a Dental Hygiene Workshop, teaching children and parents the importance of oral health for overall well-being. In addition, a basketball event was organized to raise awareness about child education, using sports as a fun and engaging way to bring the community together.
The day was powerful and uplifting showing that when communities unite to support education, every child has a chance to succeed and create a better future.
