During his recent visit to Guinea, URBOND Child Education's CEO had the pleasure of meeting with Daniel Shepherd, the British Ambassador to the Republic of Guinea, to discuss the charity's ambitious plans for the year ahead.

The meeting provided an excellent opportunity to share URBOND's vision for the 2026 Volunteer Programme and explore opportunities to strengthen collaboration with international organisations, including UNICEF, Rio Tinto and other partners who share our commitment to improving the lives of children and young people in underprivileged communities in Guinea.

As URBOND continues to grow, strategic partnerships remain central to our mission. We are excited to be working on a major new project in Guinea alongside our valued UK partners, helping to expand educational opportunities and create lasting impact for communities across the country.

The discussions also highlighted several of URBOND's key programmes, including support for girls' education, the continued development of the URBOND School in Koutaya, English and IT classes, oral health education initiatives and the recently launched URBOND Basketball Academy.

The meeting was both productive and encouraging, reinforcing a shared commitment to expanding opportunities for children through education, health, sport and community development.

As we look ahead, we are excited to build on this momentum, strengthen existing partnerships and establish new collaborations that will help us reach even more children and families in need. Together, we are creating brighter futures and making a lasting difference where it matters most.
