Day 10 was yet another fulfilling and impactful day on our annual volunteer trip to the Republic of Guinea, dedicated to improving child education in underprivileged communities. The day started with a good breakfast before we headed to the URBOND Training Centre, where we had several important activities lined up.
We began with a dental hygiene workshop that benefited 500 children, teaching them the importance of oral care, healthy habits and over 500 dental equipment were distributed. Alongside this, we held a menstrual health workshop for 100 young girls and distributed sanitary kits to help them stay healthy, confident and continue their education with dignity.
We also met with local authorities to discuss ongoing and future collaborations aimed at strengthening community education initiatives.
In the afternoon, we organised a lively basketball exhibition match to raise awareness about the importance of child education. The turnout was impressive, and the energy was contagious, people had a wonderful time while learning about our mission. It’s always heartwarming to see the community come together in good spirit. We wrapped up around 7 o’clock and returned to the hotel feeling proud and fulfilled. It was indeed a productive and inspiring day, full of learning, laughter and impact. Together, we continue to make a difference.
