On Sunday 6th September we hosted the Volunteers BBQ to kick-off preparations for the 2026 Volunteers trip to Guinea. It was a fabulous day relaxing, catching up and looking forward to the trip.
The event was attended by the volunteers and their families (thuough sadly not Kingsley as he was travelling), and several of our local sponsors.
We were also delighted that the Guinea Ambassador to the UK M. Aly Diallo took time out from his busy schedule to come down from London as our Guest of Honour. In a speech the Ambassador thanked the URBOND volunteers and supporters for the work they had done and were planning for the 2026 trip. He highlighted the positive impact URBOND was having on the lives of the kids we worked with in Guinea.
